‘Black coffee,’ she mumbled groggily, placing her laptop on their bed.
She could hear his gentle snores as she walked towards the kitchen.

They found clumps of human hair and teeth arranged in what looked like columns and rows.  Forensics was largely unclear as to source.

The laptop battery was 100% charged.

The bed was unused, it was determined no one had slept in.

‘She quit her job, left town.  It’s a prank,’ they said.

a person who compulsively works excessively hard and long hours.
